LaMar Snowboards - a simple marketing campaign via @Curmudgeonsdeal on Twitter: One single, short retweet of 140 characters to my fellow tweeps.o Nothing to it and ne week later I heard from LaMar via Twitter that I'd won a snowbaord. Shocked, shaking off the cold snow of cynicism, I told my partner Craig, an avid and excellent skiier and his two burgeoning boarders of such luck. Boys, 9 & 12, screamed like howler monkies when they heard. Craig said, cool, then, "Really? Twiiter?"
Yes, Twitter. So while we all argue it out in virtual world of what Twitter is and what it isn't, you still can't win if you don't play. Here's a few shots of the kids with the new board with the hot Sailor Jerry-tattoo art stying chica. Everybody wins for now. And I leave this week with a bit less skepticism of just how effective we can be at P2P marketing.
